Amy originates from a farming background in Central Hawkes Bay and has called Central Otago home for the last ten years. She can often be found out exploring the Central Otago countryside with a ‘grey’ dog in tow.
Amy is an experienced large animal veterinarian, with a huge passion for the New Zealand agricultural industry and local farming community. She enjoys being out on farm, working with farmers and always striving for the very best outcome.
Amy is a Member of Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science in Medicine of Sheep (one of eleven in New Zealand) and was the past President of NZVA Deer Branch.
Helen hails from the Central North Island and has recently ventured South to join family in the area, alongside her husband Peter. Together, they are trying out farming merinos and enjoying the Central Otago countryside.
Helen brings with her 27 years of veterinary support experience such as: her role as cleaning/laundry lady, some nursing and all things office related- especially stock management.
Her other involvement in the community means wearing the green uniform of St John Ambulance Service as a volunteer First Responder. She likes the challenge of not knowing what the bells will bring and above all helping someone in their moment of need. (We all need a hand at some point, right.)
Helen is keen to help Amy and Black Sheep Veterinary provide an honest and reliable service to the clients.
